<p>The article examines the impact of fundamental and applied forensic knowledge on the effectiveness of criminal investigations conducted by internal affairs agencies. Based on an analysis of key works by Russian scholars (R.S. Belkin, A.F. Volynsky, Yu.V. Gavrilin, N.G. Shurukhnov, A.M. Zinin, A.A. Maksurov, et al.), the main areas of forensic support are identified: theoretical, organizational, methodological, informational, and communicative. It is argued that the depth of understanding regarding forensic recommendations determines the quality of hypothesis formulation, the planning of investigative actions, and the interaction with operational units. Particular attention is paid to modern challenges associated with digitalization and the implementation of artificial intelligence, which necessitate a rethinking of traditional approaches. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for the systemic integration of scientific knowledge into day-to-day investigative practice.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>криминалистическое знание</kwd><kwd>методика расследования</kwd><kwd>криминалистические учеты</kwd><kwd>взаимодействие следователя и оперативных подразделений</kwd><kwd>искусственный интеллект</kwd><kwd>следственная ситуация</kwd><kwd>криминалистическое обеспечение</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>forensic knowledge</kwd><kwd>investigation methodology</kwd><kwd>forensic records</kwd><kwd>interaction between investigators and operational units</kwd><kwd>artificial intelligence</kwd><kwd>investigative situation</kwd><kwd>forensic support</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Белкин Р.С.
